Sky Express is a regional Airline based in Heraklion Crete, operating under a Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority issued Air Operator Certificate in accordance with the European Aviation Safety Agency and the Joint Aviation Authorities Regulations.

For the transportation of passengers, Sky Express operates 19 seats BAe Jetstream 31/2 aircraft with two pilots and one cabin attendant. The J31 is a very successful and widely used aircraft, offering jet comfort at the price of a turboprop. It is reliable, safe, and fast enough to achieve comparable flight times with those of a jet aircraft between short distance airports. The J31/2 is the most spacious aircraft in its class with a stand-up height cabin. It has a luxurious air-conditioned cabin with leather seats, lavatory, galley, cargo pod and aft baggage compartment.

Based on the reliability of the J31/2, Sky Express ordered two more Jetstream 41 with 30 seats, which arrived in June 2008, aiming to cover the high demand in our current schedule as well as developing new routes. The company plans to acquire three more J41s by 2010, thus achieving a total fleet of 7 aircraft.

The main Sky Express destinations from Heraklion include Rhodes, Kos, Mytilini, Samos, Kalamata, Mykonos, Santorini and Ikaria and from autumn 2008, Patrai, Thessaloniki, Alexandroupoli and Tirana were added to the flight schedule enabling us to perform 5800 flights per year and carry 120.000 passengers.
